Hastings Valley Public Schools (HVPS) is a network of nine public schools in the Port Macquarie–Hastings local government area, working together to support the learning and wellbeing of more than 4,500 students.
Our schools collaborate to share knowledge, resources and opportunities so every student can access high-quality education and strong wellbeing support throughout their schooling journey.
The HVPS Principal Leadership team works together to strengthen educational delivery across our schools. By collaborating and sharing expertise, we support consistent, high-quality learning experiences for students across the Hastings Valley.
Our partnership focuses on:
- curriculum and learning
- student engagement
- Aboriginal education and engagement
- wellbeing
- community partnerships
HVPS schools work together to share resources, programs and expertise to strengthen learning opportunities for students.
We also provide staff with opportunities for professional learning and collaboration to ensure teachers and support staff have the knowledge and skills needed to support student success.
Working closely across primary and secondary schools helps us create smooth transition pathways for students and their families.
By planning together, our schools support students as they move from primary to secondary education, helping them feel confident, supported and ready for the next stage of their learning.
Across our schools, we are guided by shared values that shape our approach to education:
- growth
- care
- quality learning
- innovation
- excellence
- opportunity
These values help create supportive and engaging learning environments for all students.
