Our Principal and staff
Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.
Welcome from our principal
Welcome to Tacking Point Public School! Nestled in the beautiful Lighthouse Beach area of Port Macquarie, our vibrant and modern school warmly welcomes around 600 students. Our dedicated staff provide a supportive and enriching environment where every child’s potential is nurtured.
We offer strong literacy and numeracy programs, innovative STEM learning, and a broad range of tailored activities including High Performance and Gifted Education. Our impressive technology resources and comprehensive support services ensure every student’s needs are met.
Tacking Point shines in performing arts, with three vibrant choirs, a large school band, and outstanding drama and dance groups. Our sports program is equally strong, producing athletes who compete at state and national levels.
We emphasise wellbeing, respect, and leadership through initiatives like The Resilience Project and our active Student Representative Council. Our close-knit community and supportive Parents and Citizens' Association create a welcoming environment where every student can thrive.
Thank you for being part of our school community—we look forward to growing and achieving great things together!
