Uniforms

When students wear a school uniform, they feel included in our school community.

Students, teachers, parents and carers, as well as members of our local community helped develop our school uniform to make sure it:

• meets the requirements of occupational health and safety, anti-discrimination and equal opportunity legislation

• includes items that are affordable, comfortable and made from easy-care and easy-wear fabrics

• is appropriate for the full range of school activities

• is suitable for all body shapes.

Tacking Point Public School’s P&C Committee is proud to run our uniform shop.

A school uniform promotes a sense of inclusion and belonging amongst our learners, and of course they all look smart and super cute!

Tacking Point Public School uniform consists of a teal coloured, school branded polo shirt with navy bottoms for boys and girls, or a tartan collared dress for the girls. Navy or white socks and black shoes are part of the uniform requirements. There is also a compulsory school branded wide brimmed bucket hat.

With the beautiful and mild winters that we are so fortunate to have in Port Macquarie, student’s uniforms remain the same all year round. Feel free to provide your little one with navy tights or a navy jumper or cardigan for the winter months.

The uniform shop does stock plain navy bottoms of various types, shorts, skorts and track pants but alternatively you are welcome to shop in town (Big W, Target etc) for plain navy bottoms that suit your child’s needs.

The uniform shop team are committed to keeping the costs of the uniform as low as possible for our parents and strive to use local businesses for our stock where we can.

A dedicated team of parent volunteers run our uniform shop and the shop is open to parents once a week during school terms.

Parents are welcome to pop in and say hello, have a browse of the new and 2nd hand uniforms in stock, check sizes and collect any orders made on QKR.

Orders made online if not collected, will be packaged up and sent to your child’s classroom on the Monday of each week in the school term.

Please be sure to name each of your child’s items with the child’s first name, last name and class. This will ensure that when (not if!) it gets left in the playground it can find its way back to your child’s classroom.

Mondays 8:45am – 9:15am

We can be found in the teachers hub building, closest to the grass bowl, at the end of the year 1 classrooms.

We also have a large selection of 2nd hand items kindly donated by the community as students have left the school or had a growth spurt. These items are $5 each and are available to purchase in the uniform shop.
